I. Core Importance of Daily Maintenance
As the “power heart” of industrial production, an air compressor’s daily maintenance directly affects equipment life, operating efficiency, and air quality. Neglecting maintenance leads to higher oil consumption, frequent failures, and even unexpected shutdowns, driving up repair costs.
II. Basic Maintenance Steps (Daily Must-Do)
- Clean the machine surface: remove dust and oil from the body and cooling fins to prevent poor heat dissipation.
- Check oil level (oil-lubricated models): ensure the lubricant is between the upper and lower marks on the sight glass; top up with the same oil type if low.
- Check air pressure: observe the pressure gauge to confirm it stays within the set working range without abnormal fluctuations.
- Inspect for leaks: examine pipes, fittings, and valves for air leakage; tighten or replace seals promptly.
- Drain condensate: open the drain valves at the bottom of the air receiver and filters to remove all accumulated water (increase frequency in humid environments).
